Carolina Ocoee

n the summer of 1990 Billy and Brenda Dills opened up Carolina Outfitters on the Nantahala River. Armed with nothing more than a couple rafts, a van, and a big dream they started offering rafting trips. They had no experience in business, but loved the river and knew that others would too. They now are one of the biggest companies on the Nantahala River, offering the most diverse rafting options. In 2008 Jennifer (Billy and Brenda’s daughter) and Grant Outlaw looked to take the company into another direction by offering trips on the Ocoee River located in east Tennessee as well. Immersed in the same passion for whitewater and the Appalachian Mountains, they have quickly built a reputation for their attention to safety and quality.
